It was my view that the markets had a great opportunity after the APRIL 7TH/9TH sell-offs, to bounce back to QPVAL $5725, then sell off and take out the lows. On the Duggan Capital desk, we call that set up a BPB Short. Scott Bessents Swiss confab with The Chinese negotiators announced another pause on tariffs and the markets gapped up over the QPVAL. Apparently it was all over for the bears, and retail traders piled in. We have now moved to the QPVAH $6070- Another setup area for us RPB Short setup. We are short this market via options. I believe we sell down from here and takeout the lows of the year.
There will be pockets where companies will do well in the ongoing war and trade war environment, these will be Energy, gas, utilities, infrastructure, and Bonds. This war will cause contraction of global trade and oil price led inflationary shocks. Personally, I’m deep into The North European Oil Royalty Trust NRT 0.00%↑. It’s a German Oil & Gas royalty company, selling to Europe, no DXY FX risk, no U.S market exposure. A play that benefits as long as Europe don’t buy Russian gas. The dividends are beefy too!
